The port of Antwerp is one of THE major sources of railfreight in Europe. Mile upon mile of rail-connected quays and busy container terminals. 185 freight trains a day! We examine the plans to increase capacity: at the port, the port approaches and on the route to Germany. Spend a day with an independent freight forwarder at Boom, help Mr Voss unload a rail van of Italian made Honda mopeds and load some Pringle crisps bound for Bayern, and follow the traffic all the way to Germany via the Maas bridge at Visé. We also follow the route to Luxembourg and watch the freight flows through the stunning Ardennes. At Charleroi we film a new breed of mini container terminal and see how it fits into the European "Quality net system" Visit the quays at Antwerp and Zeebrugge, take a ride on a container train and watch the stevedores at work. At Nord yard we film in the control room and on the hump to see how NMBS / SNCB process 3500 wagons a day. Faulty items If an item is found to be faulty or incorrect please contact us to arrange a return. If the item is faulty a replacement will be sent, if the item is not what you ordered, the correct one will be sent.
