We visit the Czech Republic’s second city Brno, to look at one of the largest tram systems in Europe. Trams run right through the delightful city centre. 100 years of TATRA dominance is giving way to modern vehicles from the Czech Republic’s favourite manufacturing company Škoda. Products of the Skoda factory also dominate heavy rail side – we visit the main station and the impressive classification yard at Malomerice in the northern suburbs
Travel to the south of France to watch trains running to Spain before moving east along the Côte d’Azur to Nice.
Finally we have a cabride up the metre gauge Rigi mountain railway in Switzerland.
